Yamuna Maa

Where Sacred Waters Flow Into Souls

॥ जय यमुना मैया ॥

At the Radha Krishna Temple, we are creating more than a beautiful pond — we are bringing Vrindavan to North Carolina. A living sanctuary where the spirit of Yamuna Maa flows freely, where every soul can find stillness, devotion, and grace.

The Call of Yamuna Maa

Not Just a Pond.

For generations, the sacred River Yamuna has been the heartbeat of Vrindavan — the very waters where Shri Krishna played, where Radha Rani bathed, where thousands of devotees have found their tears, their laughter, and their liberation.

Today, at the Radha Krishna Temple in Apex, North Carolina, we carry that same divine spirit westward. The Yamuna Maa Sanctuary is our offering — a sacred space not just for worship, but for anyone who seeks stillness in a world that rarely stands still.

"This is not a construction project. This is a sacred act of love — for Yamuna Maa, for our community, and for every soul who will sit by these waters and feel something shift inside them."

— Radha Krishna Temple, Apex NC

For years, devotee offerings have quietly sustained and beautified these temple grounds. Now, with a greater vision and a united community, we take the next step — creating a sanctuary where devotion, community, and inner peace meet at the water's edge.

The Sacred Plan

A Sanctuary Crafted with Devotion

Every stone, every flower, every ripple has been planned with intentionality — to create a space where community and contemplation coexist in harmony.

Yamuna Maa Pond Development plan — Apex NC

This is not simply a pond. It is a living mandala — an elliptical form echoing the sacred geometry of Braj Bhoomi, surrounded by stone paths, flowering gardens, and open skies. Whether you come for morning meditation, festival Aarti, or simply to sit in silence — Yamuna Maa will hold you.

Sacred elliptical pond with natural stone edge (6–12" rip rap)
50-foot curved wooden meditation & Aarti deck
6-foot paver parikrama path encircling the waters
5-foot wooden entry bridge — a symbolic ghat
Inner flower garden (2–3') & outer landscape border (3–5')
Decorative aluminum safety fencing (3'6" height)
Lush landscaping between deck & paved area
Wide 6-foot walkway encircling the full perimeter
